Our Location

  • Historic Downtown Fredericksburg features numerous specialty, retail, craft and antique shops in restored 18th- and 19th-century buildings. Outstanding cultural and entertainment events are presented by Mary Washington College as well as the Fredericksburg Theater Company. Ferry Farm, the boyhood home of George Washington, is in Fredericksburg.

  • The city operates several parks, including a 211-acre recreation area on both sides of the Rappahannock River. Four Civil War battlefields are maintained by the National Park Service, too. With acres of sprawing natural areas, you can do it all from hiking to waterskiing.

Applicant status is a pre-membership status granted to those institutions that meet the ABHE Conditions of Eligibility and that possess such qualities as may provide a basis for achieving candidate status within five years.
