Student Life

Student life is more than just what happens in the classroom. Lifepoint College students build authentic relationships with one another, mentors, faculty, and staff in our engaging student life spaces and through planned student activities all year long.

Orientation

Each academic year kicks off with a full week of intentional opportunities for incoming and returning students to connect with leadership and one another. Activities include things like park meetups, the sharing of meals, and a time of worship.

Journey Retreat

Journey is an important part of the character development of our students. Throughout the year, students participate in Journey events, such as ropes course challenges and hikes, that not only develop grit in our students, but also facilitate exceptional team building skills. One of the highlights of the Journey experience is the retreat, an overnight experience held in the mountains of West Virginia!

As part of the Spiritual Development aspect of the Lifepoint College experience, students get to attend an overnight spiritual retreat each year. This is a special, sacred, and intimate time for students to come together, focus on God, and intentionally practice the spiritual disciplines in a tranquil, quiet setting.

Spiritual Retreat

Turkey Bowl

Every fall, Lifepoint College students compete against Alumni in a hype game of flag football! It is a favorite event for many of our students and full of fun times, good food, and comradery.

Chapel

Each week, Lifepoint College students come together with Lifepoint Church staff for a time of corporate worship, prayer, and to hear an intentional and timely message crafted just for them from leaders in the world of ministry.

Mission Trip

All Lifepoint College students participate in an international Mission Trip during their second year. Students will learn and have their lives forever changed as they fundraise, prepare for, and experience this trip where they will be given opportunities to minister to others in new, exciting cultures and settings. Most recently, students served with a children’s outreach ministry in Cambodia.

Leadership Development

Lifepoint College students have many unique opportunities as part of this one-of-a-kind program. Lifepoint Church, an ARC church, has been blessed with connections to ministry leaders across the nation. College students are invited to Lifepoint’s monthly All Staff meetings and other opportunities to learn from and network with this valuable nexus of ministers.

Housing

Lifepoint College provides students with affordable, convenient, and recently updated apartments just steps away from all that downtown Fredericksburg has to offer.

Real Relationships. Real Fun.
